Softball Recap: Jayton Takes a Loss

Jayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-5 to the Hamlin Pied Pipers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pied Pipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 last Tuesday.

Jayton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hamlin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Jayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamlin, they will take on Baird at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Pied Pipers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
