Softball Recap: Tyler Comes Up Short

Tyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Doddridge County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

Tyler's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Doddridge County, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Tyler will welcome River at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Doddridge County, they will take on Greenbrier West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
