Basketball Game Preview: Christchurch School Seahorses vs. Trinity Episcopal Titans

The Christchurch School Seahorses are taking a road trip to face off against the Trinity Episcopal Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Christchurch School didn't have too much trouble with Grace Christian School as they won 43-26. The Seahorses pushed the score to 39-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Kings cut but never quite recovered from.

Alexis Foster continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Her afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaclyn Callis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Christchurch School was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grace Christian School only posted two assists.

Meanwhile, Trinity Episcopal strolled past St. Margaret's with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 69-52.

Trinity Episcopal is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Christchurch School, their record is now 5-11.

Christchurch School came up short against Trinity Episcopal when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 45-41. Can Christchurch School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
