Yutan had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Chieftains, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Yutan never let Fort Calhoun on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Mylee Tichota paced Yutan's offense, picking up eight kills. Tichota got some help from Morgan Long and her 13 assists. Kenzie Govier controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fort Calhoun's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Claire Pearson, who had 12 digs, and Gracie Lasher, who had ten digs.

Yutan's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Fort Calhoun, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-9.

Yutan has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Louisville on the 9th. As for Fort Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Douglas County West on the 14th.
