Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Ponaganset + How To Watch

Ponaganset hadn't done well against Scituate recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chieftains never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Ponaganset wouldn't have won without Francesca Grenga, who scored the game-winner.

Ponaganset's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Grenga got a bit more time on the pitch (58 vs. her season average of 33.9). Grenga made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The win made it two in a row for Ponaganset and bumps their season record up to 5-10-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matches. As for Scituate, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-5.
