Softball Game Preview: Seton Saints vs. Mount Notre Dame

Seton hasn't had much luck against Mount Notre Dame recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Saints will head out to square off against Mount Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. Seton has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seton is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Monroe, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mount Notre Dame's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 11-2 to Springboro.

McKenna Manley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Grace Pitzer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Seton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Seton might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Mount Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
