Softball Recap: Mountain View Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mountain View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Hockinson Hawks 16-15. 16 seems to be a good number for the Thunder as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Laila Reive was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-6. The team also got some help courtesy of Aylia Mathieson, who scored four runs while going 2-for-5.

Mountain View's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for Hockinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Battle Ground at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hockinson, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against R.A. Long at 4:30 p.m.
