Volleyball Game Preview: Riverdale Chieftains vs. Mineral Point Pointers

Riverdale hasn't had much luck against Mineral Point recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

Riverdale came up short against Fennimore on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Riverdale was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Mineral Point entered their tilt with Iowa-Grant on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Panthers 3-0.

Mineral Point walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-7, 25-17, 25-18.

Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 12-17.
