The Bolles Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Menendez Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Menendez took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bolles, who comes in off a win.
Bolles took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over Andrew Jackson.

Maggie Stephens made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Leighton Dostie was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Leah Batts, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Menendez lost 21-3 to Sandalwood on Thursday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ava Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Menendez's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Bolles, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-14.
Bolles' speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Menendez, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bolles continue to outrun the ball?
Bolles suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Menendez in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
