Basketball Recap: Wayne City Takes a Loss

Wayne City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since January 3rd.

Despite the loss, Wayne City still got an impressive performance from James Walker, who posted 16 points and four steals. Rhyver Tibbs was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Wayne City's loss dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

As of now, neither Wayne City nor Norris City-Omaha-Enfield have any future games scheduled.
