Volleyball Recap: Sandy Creek Takes a Loss

Sandy Creek lost against Tri County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Sandy Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emersyn Pohlmeier had 22 digs and one assist. Pohlmeier is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Sandy Creek dropped their record down to 8-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Creek will challenge Gibbon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri County, they will face off against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
