Baseball Game Preview: Boron Bobcats vs. Mammoth Huskies

Boron is 1-9 against Mammoth since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bobcats will face off against the Huskies at 3:15 p.m. Boron will be strutting in after a win while Mammoth will be coming in after a defeat.

Boron will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Kern Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bobcats never let the Broncs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Bobcats have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Mammoth fell victim to Bishop Union and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 10-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boron's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Mammoth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Boron took their victory against Mammoth in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 15-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
