The McClave Cardinals just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Cheyenne Wells Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, McClave took their game with ease, bagging a 72-45 win over Las Animas. With the Cardinals ahead 45-23 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

McClave found their leader in sophomore Tuff Kelley, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Kelley is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 16 games he's played. Myles Northrup was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cheyenne Wells duked it out with Swink on Saturday. Cheyenne Wells put the hurt on Swink with a sharp 49-29 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Lions are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McClave's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Cheyenne Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
