Basketball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 54-39 bruising from the James River Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-44 back in December of 2025.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for James River, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Coming up, Northside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lord Botetourt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for James River, they and Floyd County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
