Volleyball Recap: Carrollton Victorious

The Carrollton Hawks were able to grind out a solid win over the Granite City Warriors on Saturday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Carrollton easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18.

Granite City's loss came despite strong showings from Lilly Booker and Elizabeth Weaver. Booker had seven digs and two aces, while Weaver had 11 digs and three assists.

Carrollton now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2-1.

Carrollton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Civic Memorial on the 30th. As for Granite City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Auburn on the 30th.
