Baseball Recap: Montrose Comes Up Short

Montrose lost against Millington back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams lost 15-1 to the Cardinals.

Montrose saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Connor Gross was another, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Millington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

While Montrose had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
