Baseball Recap: Kaleb Posta Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fletcher

With a playoff win on the line, Tate rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Fletcher Senators get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

The result came thanks to Zane Warrington's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tate is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 10-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Tate saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Posta, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Taite Davis was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Tate's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Fletcher, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9-1.

Tate will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Senators: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
