Telfair County comes up short despite Zah'Mya McDuffie's dominant performance

Recap: Telfair County Trojans vs. Treutlen Vikings
The Telfair County Trojans pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Treutlen 61-57. Telfair County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Treutlen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Telfair County still got an impressive performance from Zah'Mya McDuffie, who scored 31 points along with three steals. McDuffie is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ty'Teionna Jones, who scored six points.
Telfair County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Treutlen, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Telfair County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dooly County at 6:00 p.m. Dooly County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Treutlen, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilcox County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
