Basketball Recap: Pierce Takes a Loss

Pierce was the 44-34 winner over Crofton when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Pierce Bluejays fell 44-35 to the Crofton Warriors on Thursday.

It was another big night for Sammie Allen, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 21 points for Crofton. That's the most points Allen has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaisie Janssen, who earned eight points.

Pierce's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Crofton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.

Coming up, Pierce will face off against Clarkson/Leigh at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crofton, they have already played their next matchup, a 58-48 victory against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 8th.
