Basketball Recap: Commodore Perry Panthers vs. Jamestown Muskies
Commodore Perry fought the good fight in their overtime game against Jamestown on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Muskies. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Muskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jamestown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Pashakarnis, who posted six points in addition to 17 boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lucas Cole, who had 20 points and six rebounds.
Commodore Perry is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Jamestown, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commodore Perry will be home for the holidays to greet Mercer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jamestown, they will host Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
