Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Sandy Pioneers

The Ridgeview Ravens are taking a road trip to face off against the Sandy Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeview will be strutting in after a victory while Sandy will be coming in after a loss.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Ridgeview duked it out withEagle Point on Tuesday. Ridgeview simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Eagle Point 83-38. That looming 83-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Ravens yet this season.

Meanwhile, Sandy took a blow against Sherwood on Tuesday, falling 79-52. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Bowmen are ranked 16th).

Ridgeview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Sandy, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Ridgeview didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sandy in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
