Preview: Crossroads Christian Warriors vs. The Grove School Ravens
Crossroads Christian has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Grove School Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 68 points the game before, Crossroads Christian were a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They were outmatched by Calvary Baptist at home and fell 85-25. While losing is never fun, Crossroads Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1414th, while the Cougars are ranked 579th).
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to The Grove School, who are still winless after their 14th game. They took a serious blow against Cornerstone Christian on Monday, falling 83-18. The Grove School has struggled against the Crusaders recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Crossroads Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for The Grove School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Crossroads Christian beat the Ravens 51-43 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crossroads Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
