Baseball Recap: Iowa Park Finds Playoff Glory Versus Holliday

It's playoff time, and Iowa Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Holliday Eagles by a score of 6-3 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

CJ McNeill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Iowa Park saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Mo Moreno, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Moreno a new career-high.

Iowa Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holliday, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-11-2.

Iowa Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
