Waverly waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Lincoln Southeast Knights by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hallie Lauenstein paced Waverly's offense, picking up eight kills. Lauenstein got some help from McKinley Moser and her 20 assists. Moser was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Lincoln Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Lincoln Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Lincoln Northeast on the 3rd. Hopefully Waverly paid attention to the Knights' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Knights at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
