Morningside lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Centennial, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Monarchs blew past the Apaches 12-3 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Monarchs as it spelled an end to their 20-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Edison Macias, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Jayden Borunda also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Morningside's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-15 and their overall record up to 3-21. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.
