Volleyball Recap: Carey's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Carey waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dietrich Blue Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Carey was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17, 25-17.

Madison Hoskins paced Carey's offense, picking up five kills. Hoskins got some help from Andie Simpson and her eight assists. Finally, Abbi Whittier kept Carey's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Carey's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dietrich, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Carey wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Hansen on the 16th. As for Dietrich, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Richfield on the 16th.
