Basketball Game Preview: Hot Springs Bison vs. Upton Bobcats

Hot Springs is 1-6 against Upton since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hot Springs Bison will take on the Upton Bobcats in a tournament on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hot Springs headed into their last game having not scored more than 25 points for three straight, but Oelrichs let them put that streak behind them. Hot Springs simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Oelrichs 56-28. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bison as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Upton earned a 38-26 win over Edgemont on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Upton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hot Springs, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Hot Springs came up short against Upton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 50-39. Can Hot Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
