Fans got a thrill when Brett Bonar and Drew Rodman connected against Trinity Academy. The connection was good for 81 yards, the longest such play in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III this season.
Mulvane led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Clearwater. RJ Rieger threw for 114 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 113 yards in the win.
Bonar threw for 362 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was 16-22 with 0 interceptions.
Kyler Kinnamon was the best running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 198 yards as McPherson bested Wellington. TJ Stites also contributed to the rushing game with 169 yards on the ground.
Rose Hill's Bonar and Harrison Haydock led Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Bonar has thrown for 1,790 yards this season, while Haydock has 32 catches for 651 yards. The Wildcats' Michael Mason leads the league in rushing yards with 1,801.
The Vikings made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,076 from 4,886. The improvement was largely due to a 41-18 victory over the Crusaders last week.
