Baseball Recap: Columbine Takes a Loss

Columbine and Valor Christian pushed the score to 14-7 the last time they played Valor Christian, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Rebels fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Columbine's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8. As for Valor Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-9.

While Columbine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
