Softball Recap: New Holstein Gets the Win

While New Holstein's victory against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Resorters 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Resorters: they've now won four in a row.

Makya Pendleton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Pendleton wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kourtney Karls, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

New Holstein hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah struck out 11 times.

New Holstein's record now sits at 12-5. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
