Basketball Recap: Dr. Phillips Panthers vs. Foundation Academy Lions
On Friday, the Dr. Phillips Panthers came up short against the Foundation Academy Lions and fell 58-50.
Foundation Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Nichols out in front who went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points plus seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Nate Waldon, who scored 11 points.
Dr. Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Foundation Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Dr. Phillips will be taking part in a tournament against Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Foundation Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foundation Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.
