Basketball Game Preview: Forest Lake Christian Falcons vs. Dixon Rams

The Forest Lake Christian Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Dixon Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Forest Lake Christian lost 68-45 to Sacramento Adventist on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Capitals are ranked 148th).

Despite the loss, Forest Lake Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucy Rowley posted 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rowley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Catherine Nguyen, who earned five points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Dixon came up short against Pierce on Tuesday, falling 48-22. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Forest Lake Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
