The Maconaquah Braves will face off against the Northfield Norsemen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Maconaquah will be strutting in after a victory while Northfield will be coming in after a loss.
Maconaquah barely beat Blackford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Bruins on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won five in a row.

Blayklee Buman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Shaela Brazzel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Eleanor Boshears, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Maconaquah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to North Miami.
Northfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Myers, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Maconaquah, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
Everything went Maconaquah's way against Northfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Maconaquah made off with a 27-1 win. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Norsemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
