Basketball Recap: New Site Skates Past Philadelphia with Ease

It's playoff time, and New Site had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Philadelphia Tornadoes 81-37 on Monday. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.

New Site's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Chism led the charge by putting up 15 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. That's the most assists Chism has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ayla Stanley, who put up 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Chism wasn't the only one working in the assist department: New Site was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

New Site is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.3 points. As for Philadelphia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-15.

Looking ahead, New Site will head out to square off against O'Bannon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Bannon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something New Site surely won't give up without a fight. Philadelphia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
