Basketball Recap: Wayzata's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

On Thursday, the Wayzata Trojans were able to grind out a solid win over the East Ridge Raptors, taking the game 60-50. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Raptors are ranked 55th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wayzata has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for East Ridge, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5.

Wayzata will host Minnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Ridge, they will challenge Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
