Soccer Recap: Olympia Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Peoria on Friday, Olympia came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peoria Christian Chargers on Monday. Olympia were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Peoria Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Olympia has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season. As for Peoria Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Olympia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth on the 1st. As for Peoria Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Bloomington Central Catholic on the 29th.
