Softball Recap: Phoebus Comes Up Short

Phoebus came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-1 to the Charles City Panthers.

Phoebus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Illiano, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Phoebus' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Charles City, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Phoebus has already played their next matchup, a 22-5 victory against Booker T. Washington on the 20th. As for Charles City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against King William on the 21st.
