Softball Recap: Pompano Beach Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Pompano Beach extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-8 in the process. They blew past the Cooper City Cowboys 14-3. Considering the Golden Tornadoes have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pompano Beach got a massive performance out of GABI OLIVER, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of ELLIE KLEE, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pompano Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

As for Cooper City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

On Cooper City's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Hedden, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Coming up, Pompano Beach will take on Cardinal Gibbons in a tournament on Monday. The Golden Tornadoes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. Cooper City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
