Baseball Recap: Rancho Drops Season-High Score on Bonanza

Rancho barely beat Bonanza the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rancho Rams blew past the Bonanza Bengals 9-1 on Tuesday. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Rancho let Mayson Au Young-Uwaine and Ronaldo Alvarez run wild. Au Young-Uwaine scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Alvarez scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Au Young-Uwaine has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dylan Layman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Rancho kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Rancho's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Bonanza, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will host Eldorado at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonanza, they will welcome Clark at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
