Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Clinton Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Hartfield Academy Hawks, falling 55-30. The Warriors have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hartfield Academy was led to victory by Ella Jackson and Ashleigh Ernst. Jackson shot 55% from the field to rack up 12 points and four steals, while Ernst posted ten points and seven rebounds. The last time Jackson's shooting accuracy was this high was back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kiley Seymour, who had six points and six boards.

Clinton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hartfield Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Clinton Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Porter's Chapel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hartfield Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-32 defeat against Humphreys County on the 8th.
