Soccer Game Preview: Charles J. Colgan vs. Hylton

The Charles J. Colgan Sharks will head out on the road to challenge the Hylton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Charles J. Colgan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Potomac Senior. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Charles J. Colgan's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Potomac Senior are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in April, Hylton was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. Neither they nor Forest Park could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Hector Ortiz was the only thing that stood between Hylton and a shutout considering he scored both of Hylton's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Charles J. Colgan and bumps their season record up to 9-2-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matches. Hylton's draw makes their record 3-6-3 this season.
