Volleyball Recap: Forest City Takes a Loss

Forest City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Montrose Meteors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Foresters of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-11.

Montrose found their leader in sophomore MALEAH GALELLA, who had eight aces and six digs. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for GALELLA. SIERRA BROWN also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Forest City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Montrose, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Forest City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
