Baseball Recap: Fort Frye Takes a Loss

Fort Frye has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.56 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Parkersburg South Patriots, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Fort Frye has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Parkersburg South, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Fort Frye will face off against Point Pleasant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkersburg South, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m.
