Baseball Recap: Fryeburg's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Fryeburg might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Greely who claimed the real prize. The Raiders fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Michael Malia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fryeburg fell to 2-1. As for Greely, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fryeburg is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Spruce Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders are facing the Phoenix at the right time seeing as the Phoenix are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greely, they are taking a road trip to take on Yarmouth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
