Soccer Recap: Topsail Comes Up Short

Topsail managed to keep up with Laney until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Buccaneers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Topsail haven't been shut out since back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Topsail and nudges their season record down to 5-5-5. As for Laney, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Topsail is set to challenge their familiar foe Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Laney will square off against rival West Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
