Volleyball Recap: Jayden Carter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Deland-Weldon over Warrensburg-Latham

DeLand-Weldon lost against Warrensburg-Latham back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DeLand-Weldon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Carter, who had 13 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Woods, who had seven digs and five kills.

Delaneigh Garner was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces.

DeLand-Weldon now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Warrensburg-Latham, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, DeLand-Weldon is taking a road trip to square off against Edinburg/South Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Meridian on the 13th.
