Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Preparatory & Early College Falcons vs. Will Carleton Academy Cougars

The Jackson Preparatory & Early College Falcons will head out to face off against the Will Carleton Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson Preparatory & Early College is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.

Jackson Preparatory & Early College took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Battle Creek Academy, posting a 47-16 victory. The 47-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jackson Preparatory & Early College got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Oliver out in front who posted 15 points and four steals. The contest was Oliver's third in a row with at least ten points. Noah Coarts was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Will Carleton Academy entered their tilt with Marshall Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 59-52 victory over the Griffons.

Jackson Preparatory & Early College's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Will Carleton Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Jackson Preparatory & Early College couldn't quite finish off Will Carleton Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 47-44. Can Jackson Preparatory & Early College avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
