Recap: Franklin Indians vs. Edgewood Rams
The Franklin Indians extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Edgewood Rams. They blew past the Rams 46-22. Considering Franklin has won five matches by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Devin Rollins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 245 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Rollins was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Edgewood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darius Fleming. Despite the final result, he rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Franklin's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Franklin is on the road again on Friday and play against City College. One thing working in City College's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
