Collins is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Meanwhile, Alamance Christian was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 10-6 win over Liberty Christian. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Vandalia Christian pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Alamance Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Vandalia Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Alamance Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vandalia Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
