Basketball Recap: Stoneham Find Success

Stoneham hadn't done well against Watertown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the Stoneham Spartans made off with a 37-36 win over the Watertown Raiders. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 53-34 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Stoneham now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Watertown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Stoneham has already played their next contest (against Arlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Watertown has already played their next matchup, a 58-29 defeat against Reading Memorial on the 14th.
